About American Rider

The company

American Rider arranges transportation between travelers and independent operators in Miami. A traveler names a destination and receives one price. An operator accepts the travel and is paid for it.

What a traveler pays

One all-in amount, quoted before the travel is reserved. The amount shown at reservation is the amount charged. There is no separate booking charge, no variable pricing by time of day, and nothing added afterwards.

What an operator keeps

American Rider operators retain 99% of the travel fare.

The remaining 1% is the coordination commission, capped at one dollar, and a flat $1.50 per-travel platform fee covers running the service, including payment processing. Operators can reconcile every travel against this in their own records.

Operators

Operators are independent contractors, not employees. Each holds their own vehicle registration, insurance, and license, and chooses which travel to accept.
